 | Hermes has gained worldwide reputation for its luxurious leather goods and apparel since 1837. They never got involved in watches until 1920s when they were designing watch straps for many famous watch making companies. It was in 1975 that they created their own watch known as Kelly watch. This was designed with inspiration from its then famous Kelly handbags. It was in 1978 that Jean-Louis Dumas-Hermes who started re-organizing the company and incorporated its own watch making workshops in La Montre Hermes SA. |
